Join us for a very special evening to raise awareness and fight addiction's hold on our loved ones!
Katharine Pettit is the Choreographer who conceived of "I Could Never Love Anyone..." after a decade plus of enabling her sister. She realized she was not alone in this trial and that many across the country and around the world face the same battles every day. She'd like to ignite a conversation that will force change and create better resources for addicts and their loved ones! Through the power of movement and the courage of sharing her story so that others may know they're not alone, Katharine believes this dance theater piece will be the origin of a new view on addiction and that we, as a society, can change our approach to treatment and recovery!
Let's remove the stigma from this conversation! Speak up and lives will be saved!
Katharine Pettit, Assist. Director/Choreographer in "Merrily We Roll Along"
Katharine Pettit is currently working on "Merrily We Roll Along" at Astoria Performing Arts Center as the Assistant Director/Choreographer.
What if you could move backwards through time and see how your choices charted your path to the present moment? With an exciting score, humor, idealism, and insight, Merrily We Roll Along starts at the end and ends at the beginning. We see snapshots of twenty years in the lives of Franklin Shepard and his close friends and ponder the show’s central question: “How did you get to be here?”
